In order to provide the “Exclusive Experience”, a clean and modern environment that the users of this segmentation sought, we decided to create a concept that was closer to a living space with a more intimate character and comfort. Instead of highlighting the service areas, we decided to emphasise the waiting areas, the reception and the meeting rooms.

We considered creating a neutral look where we used white for the walls and light stone for the floors, similar to the bank’s headquarters.

The programmatic organisation is created by metallic structures. These structures also serve as support for the branding elements and define the functional areas of the agency. They are composed of metal, felt and fabric elements, and together with the furnishings and decoration, create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The remaining furniture and accessories such as the wooden counters, felt screens, carpets and hanging lamps mark and differentiate the different functional zones. The screens are positioned to control the views within the agency and provide privacy from the exterior to the interior serving also as a canvass for the name and brand of the Bank. The rounded corners of the screens, countertops and rugs connect these elements to the BCI brand image.

More neutral colours, where white prevails, were considered in the service areas. We decided to upgrade the design of the existing counters, creating an element of continuity with the other agencies. In the managers area we took an element of the 2010 design, simplified and modernized it and created a white vertical screen limiting this space. The division between each manager is made by felt screens with the colour of the brand BCI Exclusivo.

The lighting is composed of decorative lamps suspended in the different waiting and meeting areas. Different models according to the different areas were considered (larger fittings, with more diffuse light for waiting areas, smaller, more directional lighting for the counters and the functional zones). In the circulation areas linear lights were considered positioned at the same angles as the structures, and so marking the routes and directing the customers within the agency.
